Sponsorship UK are a sponsorship broker for international boat races. Among them, the Mini Transat 650. A boat race where skipers race from France to Brazil in their 6.5m long sail boats. We were commissioned to design both a logo and a new typeface. A special typeface was needed to utilise the limited space on the 6.5m boats, without taking up too much room. In order to achieve this, we designed a lower-case typeface but with very small ascenders and decenders.
