Design dining chair Frank Rettenbacher for Zanotta, solid wood with contemporary design.
"The idea behind the Santiago table is to bring the same lightness to the metal designs I designed in 2014 for Zanotta in a larger object."
So the Austrian designer Frank Rettenbacher describes his engineering design with minimal design and eye-catching design.
The challenge was to create a solid wood table with the same linear and distinctive silhouette of light metallic bodies. Thin as an air wing, stable thanks to the specially reinforced structure. This type of construction - inspired by the stylist figure of architect Santiago Calatrava, which gives the name of the table - achieves maximum stability while keeping the legs as thin as possible. So the Austrian designer Frank Rettenbacher describes his engineering design with minimal design and eye-catching design.
