Spun

Play or relax is not a problem with Spun by Magis. The project of this chair combines in a single body the different components of a chair: seat back and frame. Thomas Heatherwick curates the design of this original seat. The base of Spun is a circle with a small diameter, which gradually widens, designing the characteristic profile, with a ring which prevents the overturning at half height. Magis manufactures Spun out of polyethylene. Because of the robust plastic, the pegtop is adapted for inside and outside. A rubber coating under the chair furthermore protects the ground.

Magis is a historic Italian company founded in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza. Magis looks like as a great laboratory for cutting-edge design and experimentation, able to detect the creativity of the international and emerging designers, markets, and direct it to objects that set trends.
