Chair in natural beech wood and steel. Designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec in 2008.
The Steelwood family by Magis is a reaction to the massive use of plastic materials into the production of chair. From this premise, the French duo of designer Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec have tried to design something totally new. As the name already reveals, two different materials compose the Steelwood Chair: wood and steel. Beech wood is used for the seat and the legs, while steel is used for the back and arm rests.
Magis is a historic Italian company founded in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza. Magis looks like as a great laboratory for cutting-edge design and experimentation, able to detect the creativity of the international and emerging designers, markets, and direct it to objects that set trends.
