The Quaderna console was made by a honeycomb panel, a derivative of wood, from the solid characteristics but at the same time with a light weight.
Designed by Superstudio in 1970, Quaderna highlights the excesses of pop design, in vogue in those years. The rigorous and geometric shapes, the sharp corners of this console are opposed to the curved shapes and playful, to flash colors that characterize the productions of this period. The wind of rebellion of the late '60s has influenced avant-garde production of Italian design. The series of Quaderna tables, where did this amazing console, it is the perfect image.
The cross hatch pattern and laminated plastic coating reminiscent of the popular cafes and bars of the 50 The simple, functional design leaves aside individual expression. Quaderna represents a significant phase of design. Rewarded with several awards, it is now on display at the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris.
